Electrician

Despite me postponing the garage electric installation job for a couple of months due to delivery issues with other projects, Shareef fitted me in quickly once all good to go. Shareef and Owen were extremely professional, and very easy to get along with. The work was done to a very high standard at an extremely reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone...... I'm already planning another job for them.

Electrician

The job was fitting new consumer unit to replace old fuse box, earth bonding and meter tails, fitting two smoke alarms and electrical test throughput house. Sharif and Rash done the job for me and two nicer lads you could not meet. Very friendly and polite, getting on with their work and overcoming a few problems. Really happy with them and the job they have done for me. I recommend North Ace Electrics 100%. I would not hesitate to get them for any future work.

A 3 bed house, not a rental property. The electrician said that without 3 fire alarms (kitchen, entrance and upstairs landing), the council will not pass the electrical conditional certificate. Is that possible ? right price ? cannot battery powered fire alarms be used ? Thanks

Hi if the consumer unit has been change or a rewire has taken place or extension built then you will need hard wired smoke and heat alarms.

's question

I have just had a new boiler fitter and the engineer has recommended having the plug socket that it is wired into checked as it is above the sink. The socket hasn't been moved and it is the same place as it was when the old boiler was fitted. Is it worth getting it checked?

Hi Deborah a fused spur will be what the boiler needs and it will have to be 300mm away from the drainer or sink bowl. So it complies with regulations.
