One of the friendliest tradesmen out there! Martin is a great electrician and has completed a very high quality full rewire for us on a grade 2 listed building. He is really flexible and has been helpful in advising best ways to carry out work and position points/lights etc. Price is always very reasonable and he is a truly honest chap. I would definitely recommend him for any electrical work. A pleasure to work with and he cleans up afterwards!

Martin provided a great service, friendly and happy to work around the schedules I had with other contractors. The job did not go quite as we planned, but Martin was happy to rearrange his day so we got the power back on. Very friendly, his quote was very competitive, even on a relatively small job, we will certainly be using him on a further project we are planning.

Martin fitted three ceiling lights I'd been struggling with. He was on time and incredibly efficient. He talked through what he was adding to the fittings and was polite and friendly. I'll be recommending him to my neighbours!

I contacted Martin using Rated People, as I was looking for a replacement domestic consumer unit. Martin came round to view the job, sent me a quote, agreed a date and completed the work to a good standard. Having helped me work through a couple of faults he came back and completed the testing & certification. Friendly, accurate, and does what he says he will do. Happily recommend to others.

It was my wife who dealt with Martin when he came 'round. She said he was prompt, polite, tidy, and very helpful. He fixed our problem (a light fitting in the bathroom needed to be changed having fused) over the course of two visits, and his bill was very realistic so overall it was an excellent experience and, clearly, Martin will be our go-to electrician from now on.

Martin's quality of workmanship was First Class. He fulfilled my work requirements as per my original post on Rated People. From quote to work completion was excellent as he kept in contact via email/text for me to discuss changes which was met by prompt responses. The cost for the work was really good. Definitely keep Martin in mind for any electrical works I have in the future. His friendly, polite and professional manner make it a pleasure working with him.

Is it ok to fit Single Pole 13 amp double sockets in a kitchen ring main circuit

Hello James, It all depends on your earthing arrangement? If you’re on a TT system a device for isolation requires switching of both live conductors (Double Pole). If you’re on TNS or TNCS single pole will be fine. You will find earthing arrangements pictures on the web to see what you have. All the best Martin.
