Hello James, It all depends on your earthing arrangement? If you’re on a TT system a device for isolation requires switching of both live conductors (Double Pole). If you’re on TNS or TNCS single pole will be fine. You will find earthing arrangements pictures on the web to see what you have. All the best Martin.
