Yes if its all-ready the cable installed absolutely, They need to be tested to see if disconnection meet the times required and of course be on an RCD. However, if your newly getting this installed my preferred method would be to run in a 10MM2 T&E cable into a Cooker control Unit, then into a double oven connection unit with 2x 6mm Tails, one into each appliance. Hope that makes sense?

Yes you need plumber to plumb up to and electrician to install test and certify. If he pipework is already there some electricians will plumb in.

Could be a fuse - or faulty appliance, get an electrician to come out and look at it as a repair man won’t be able to do the electrics. To be honest most machines these day are beyond economical repair once broken but at least an electrician will be able to tell you if you need another or if there’s a further issue - Good luck.

Unfortunately there is no option for a 'Superman' but it sounds to me you need a selection of trades: in this order: Plumber stop the leak - Electrician test check all you wiring - Kitchen fitter to replace the kitchen - Plasterer to repair and wall damage - Painter/Decorator.

If it's a light switch just wire it to the earth terminal on the back box the metal screws that fix the switch to the back box complete the connection. If it's your sockets then run an earth from the back box to the earth terminal on the rear of the socket. Most sockets now have earth running plate to the patress screw locations, so there is no need to earth the back box have a look on the rear of your sockets to find out. 'If in doubt call us out'

That's a beast of a cooker - 'Pyrolithic' ? 10mm in a short run maybe. I'm curious to see the size of the terminals on the back of the cooker. If someone was to place insulation on top of the cable inadvertently, during Xmas Day cooking you could have a a house fire. That's a massive draw for a cooker, the largest I've seen was double oven and Induction plate (Range style) and that was at the limit of 10mm @ 60+amps. Bear in mind most/some houses only have a 60A supply! You may need the distributor to upgrade you main fuse also to 80A/100A.

When a screw is removed form a cable the insulation (which is pushed back) covers/springs back (Correction - the 'sheath' outer not 'insulation' inner) and hides the internal damage. Live/line is connecting to earth somehow (by being damaged) and tripping the RCD. Ben's Correct. It is dangerous & that's why your sensitive RCD is not behaving. If in doubt call us out.
