Dave did a teriffic job clearing up my very overgrown garden and accomplished in just a few hours a job I had been ignoring for months. He was very prompt to reply to my posting and appeared in the garden just a couple of days later. He did such a good job he's coming back to build us a bike shed and sort out the flowerbeds. Ben did a great job replacing worn pipework under our kitchen sink. He is a skilled, efficient worker who worked out how he could creatively improve our set up and achieved just that, providing us with much more space in that area. I have been trading as MJ Griifiths for nearly 30 years now . My father was a gas engineer and I initially trained with him and got my City & Guilds qualifications. I branched into building a few years later in a partnership with a school friend who was a carpenter. Together we estabalished a Building , plumbing and heating company covering all aspects of the trade. The partnership no longer exists but M J Griffiths does ! Its fair to say that I am a very experienced all rounder who specalises in Heating and plumbing, all gas work and servicing , bathroom installations etc . We mainly only carry out associated building works now a days to go along with say a bathroom installation where we would do studwork, boarding , skimming , carpentry, tiling etc. My company does not have to use other trades for things like this enabling us to keep costs down with no delays waiting for other trades. My son James has qualified as a gas engineer 6 years ago and has worked with me for 10 years. Now we have on board my youngest son Max as an apprentice , studying at Trowbridge college on day release. We install Worcester boilers if possible and are due to be Worcester acredited this autumn . We also install other makes of boilers if the budget requires. We also specalize in design , supply and installation of bathrooms. We take the strain , not our customers !

The team first gave a competative quote for the work. A good start! They turned up on time, and then paid attention to my requirements before starting the job. They worked hard and efficiently together to get the job done. 7:30 AM to 18:00 without a break. The result was to professional standards. Would I recommend them? Yes, very much so! We are a local Construction Company with a background in commercial building & groundworks. We are used to working to high specifications with minimal tolerances. Leaving you with a high end look with a beauty that is more than skin deep, its durable too! Its Important that a house has a solid foundation, but not just houses. Every aspect of construction is only as strong as it weakest link so we don't just concentrate on leaving a nice finish. You want that look to endure so we don't cut corners behind the scenes. Everything we do is constructed in accordance with industry standards norms. So our extensions get nice deep footings, So do garden walls. Our driveways are always excavated to the right depth, and the sub base constructed in graded road stone, not cheaper sub base materials because they are not as good. We never use a nail where a bolt or screw will do better, because it lasts longer that way! With 30 years in the trade behind me we have the experience, knowledge, and contacts to get you the best materials and reasonable prices. So whilst quality work has a cost to it, it need not be exorbitant, nor out of your reach! With us you are sure of the right advice, at a reasonable price.

I am extremely pleased with GHS who recently renovated our patio. The existing concrete slabs had sunk in many places, producing an uneven surface that ponded when it rained and caused a trip hazard. GHS lifted the slabs, compacted the underlay and relaid the slabs on a new mortar base, giving us a smooth patio without trip hazards which now drains effectively. GHS carried out the work quickly and efficiently and were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. I highly recommend them.

On the positive side Jay recognised this and was very apologetic and was certainly not trying to rip us off.
