Thor is an excellent carpenter and has made a wonderful job of replacing our cladding and working with an independent window supplier to replace a couple of windows. All the neighbours have been very complimentary about the finished result and we are very happy too. His working days are a bit variable, but at least he lets you know if his plans have changed. We have employed again him to replace our garage door with cladding, window and pedestrian access door as we convert the garage into to a workshop.

Chris came to quote for the job quickly and suggested ideas to help us with our kitchen renovation. He kept in touch throughout and arrived on time to complete the work. The finish of the work from Chris and also the plumber he organised to plumb the sink, tile, reconnect the gas hob and seal was excellent and we are very happy with the completed job. We had several quotes for a complete new central heating system. DJ Phillips offered good value and the option of a ten year warranty, so we chose them. Dave and Harry were processional and polite and managed to complete a potentially very disruptive process with as little trouble as possible. This was a relatively small job, fixing a new fire, surround and mantlepiece. A new cowl and chimney pot was also fitted. The work was done on time, within budget, and we were impressed by the way the work was carried out, the attention to detail (including clearing up afterwards) and by the knowledge and expertise shown. We would use the same firm again, if required.

I have more to add to my review. Doug Rose went above and beyond to fix the unexpected problems that arose with our rather old plumbing. Intending to lay new bathroom flooring, instead found he had to identify and cure a severe plumbing blockage, we were very lucky he was at hand. Unexpectedly our up pipe was filled with what looked like black sand having accumulated for years, recent work caused it to drop down and block everything in the bathroom.
