Failed to turn up first couple of appointments. When they finally arrived, suggested whole toilet cistern replacement quoting £140 for parts. Bargained down to around £80 using some of existing parts. Although I was quoted a ‘reduced rate’ this didn’t include VAT, so although toilet flushing okay now, we ended up paying a lot more than expected. Didn’t even bother asking them to do a more complicated job originally included in the post. Wouldn’t use again.

The plumber was really quick – he fixed the dripping tap in about 20 minutes. But then he charged us £168, which is outrageous. I'd avoid 'The Local Plumber Service'. They quote £62.50 for 30 minutes, but they actually charge a full hour no matter how quick the job is. That's really misleading."

Misleading prices. Quoted �62.50 for half an hour, BUT wasn\\'t clearly explained min. Charge for �150. Won\\'t be using rated people or these plumbers again. Poor customer practice.

It was great to have the job response the day after posting it and the job was done very promptly. That�s what you need with plumbing jobs. Stuart arrived early and did all that was needed in a customer-friendly manner. Thank you.

Very expensive, no call out charge but charged by the half hour - minimum one hour charge, VAT NOT included in the quote. Apparently this company does not employ its own plumbers just passes the rated people jobs on to third party thus adding another layer. Having said that Adam came on the same day, was extremely efficient, diagnosed the problem, explained it all and fixed it . I would recommend him but would hesitate to go through this company again

This company tricks customs. They call you and highlight a free call out. Their engineer came late around 8pm and did not do any work then sent an invoice of 150 pounds for just looking at the tray and leaving.
