Boilerable answered questions about Floor fitters
We currently have an electric shower but looking for cost to have a new one installed and run off the combi boiler
Hi, as its an electric shower you will only have a cold water feed to your shower, to have a bar mixer shower you will need both, hot and cold water feeds, which means you will have to knock tiles off the wall and to put the pipes behind the tiles, plus you will need to hide the hole in the tiles behind the shower unit currently in place, if you're on budget the best option would be to install a bath tap with a shower outlet integrated (unless its a shower cubicle) which will cost around £70 plus the tap.
How will I know which kind of shower I can have? Currently I have just a taps that can be mixed via a hose and shower head but doesn't mix properly and hose is just wrapped around the taps, not attached to the wall. Thanks
If you have a tank in the loft you'll need a pump to operate a bar mixer shower, if you have a combi boiler you can fit a bar mixer without a pump, or you can have an electric shower that's fed from the mains
