I had some fencing replaced, some crazy paving taken up and gravel put down and a gate erected by these guys. The work was done to a great standard with minimum fuss and in a timely fashion. They do not use any sub-contractors so you know who you are dealing with throughout the project. Daniel was fantastic throughout the job (Garage conversion and bay window creation). He was friendly, approachable and hugely customer focussed. There were a few unexpected developments during the project but Daniel consistently ensured that we got the outcome we wanted rather than just a quick fix and regularly went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Explained exactly what needed to be done and why (shows me evidence of various bit clogging up thanks to limescale) kept me informed when he was going to be late (this was down the snowy conditions) all work done on time and as expected things work so much easier now. From coffee tables and chairs to staircases, floors and grand pianos, I have done it all. Colour matching, change of use and change of design. Government contracts in the past, included various departments from department of business to health (usually indirectly). Also RAF dance floor to royal navy officer training head office, all when I was living nearer London. I have been in this business since leaving school, and intend to continue while I still can because I have a 3 year old daughter at a rather late age. In the 1970s when I started most people were doing domestic furniture in this trade, I however was trained on government department jobs as well as domestic jobs. In those days most polishing jobs were dark traditional colours, by the late 80s to early naughties they were more natural colours and more recently lighter than natural. Perhaps you require fitted furniture or architectural joinery changes, such as doors and frames to blend with carpets or curtains. Send a photo and let's see what can be done. I also repair damaged furniture etc, maybe you have a deep scratch or broken furniture that you love that needs repair. (Again just send a photo)

I do not usually review anything on the web, but I thought I would make an exception in this case as my partner and I were particularly impressed with GWP. I posted a job on to the Rated People website asking for a decorator to give our new duplex flat a much needed refresh. The job itself was quite technical and required working in some places at a 20ft height, difficult angles and renovation of a 9ft original sash window. GWP were able to provide a competitive quote and arrange for experienced decorator, Daniel, to come and complete the work according to our narrow time frame. It was important that the quality of the work was up to scratch as there are dozens of ceiling spotlights around the flat which would make any mistakes obvious. We are very impressed with the work, especially given the job's complexity. Our experience with GWP was a good one and we will certainly be using them for all our decorating in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. Overall, a excellent job carried out, on time, by a reliable professional who left the flat clean and clear when completed. Thanks.
