George responded quickly to my request, gave a very reasonable quote, did a really quite tricky and complicated job above a conservatory, to fix cracks in the pebbledash of an external wall, and seal all around the windows. A fortnight later he re-plastered internally. George gives the impression of being somewhat chaotic! But he is extremely experienced, knows what he is doing, and actually did a very good job. Changing this review. I would not use them again. Got them back for a 2nd job. Started 1 week late which was due to sickness - fine. Spent first 3 days working no more than a few hours a day putting plastic down. 5th day started painting. Colour matched rather than using the brand agreed to. Only did one coat of paint on all surfaces. After only a couple of months this js now chipping away at the slightest touch. No prep work on old surfaces, one coat of paint rather than 2 or 3, didn’t use brand I picked.

Had work done from this trade person. tiles had movement after 6 months start to crack had a professional to come rectify work. Tiles was installed not correctly. Adhesive blobbled on to tiles not even spread evenly!

We had some painting and carpentry work completed. Ian was friendly and hardworking and we were happy to leave him in the house while we were out. The painting was of a good standard however the carpentry seemed a bit rushed and Ian had to return after he finished to put right some snags.

On our front garden he laid the artificial grass without Weed control fabric and we can see the weeds already popping up. He didn't lay the patio properly as we can see rain water stored in some areas. He didn't flatten/level the grass area where we asked him to put the Artificial grass.. he left the area in bumps. Overall, I'm really disappointed with his work and do not recommend him for any landscape work.

DO NOT under any circumstances ever hire Dean/Builders on Demand. Dean can not be trusted. He has walked off with my money and failed to complete the job, telling me that "it's not his problem" - I have a voice note from him on WhatsApp saying this. I have had to get other tradesmen in to correct badly done work and it has now cost me more money to repair the damage he has caused. I am now seeking legal action to recoup the costs plus damages caused. Stay clear of him and instruct someone else.

He did 2 small jobs - one was fine, but the other, he did not know how to do and should have said so. This was re-polishing a kitchen worktop. He did not read the application instruction despite being shown them. His painting skills ;eave a lot to be desired and he rushed it as he was being cashed up by others. He left the job incomplete and has not been in contact to finish it completely. He is basically an ok handyman and has a lot of jobs he's juggling all the time. I wouldn't recommend him for any work.

Paint was left bubbling on the walls, had to re do myself, took my money and ran, no idea of what 'preparation' means just painted on walls no primer used, didn't use 'textured paint' as per request, had to remind him of the rail he forgot to paint. This company is dishonest. Stupidly I paid for this job before it was finished and have been conned. They turned up 3 hours late, did 2 hours work and left early. They insisted on being paid up front saying "don't worry we'll come back to finish the job, if we didn't a bad review would kill our business". We arranged a date to come back and finish the work and they never turned up, wasting my day. They've now stopped answering calls. Next step is contacting trading standards.
