They were able to carry out addition electrical and plumbing work. Their quote was competitive and transparent. They repsonded promptly to calls and emails. We commission Alex of Construction United in November 2011 to take on a small domestic project for a bathroom refurbishment. It was the first time we have used a tradesman through rated people and I can safely say that we were not disappointed. Alex came across to us as someone with a naturally friendly honest and professional approach. He offered us a competitive rate to do the job and following his appointment, both he and his father started on time, and worked hard to the best of their abilities to deliver the project on time with little cause for concern. I must say they were very patient and coped well with all the late design changes we through at them. At the end of the project payments were simple and organised; Alex presented my mother with a lovely bunch of flowers as a thank you for all the cups of tea and coffee, which we thought was a kind and considerate gesture. He has defiantly been a good find and someone we will recommend and use again on future projects. To sum up using an axiom by C.R Ashbee: ‘Standard of excellence in the industrial arts acts in competitive industry as Gresham’s law acts in coinage. After I posted the high 5 star rating, the quality of work and attention to detail dramatically reduced. One piece of wallpaper was ripped and stuck down again rather than replacing with a new strip. 2 Yrs on, some of the paper is lifting away from the walls. There is a part of it with bubbles. For this I remove 3 stars.

We have not gone ahead with his quote but Piotr was excellent at contacting me and keeping in touch with regard to the appointments made for him to come and view the work. He was very friendly and professional and listened to what we wanted/needed and came back with a quote within a couple of days. I would have liked the quote to be a bit more detailed and ‘professional’ looking – but this was not the reason we decided not to work with him. I wish him luck with other jobs.

They were very dodgy and unreliable. They took all the agreed money but never came back to finish the job. I was left without a kitchen, cooking utilises and drinking water for two whole months as no other builders were willing to pick up the mess they left behind. The garden was a complete mess with concrete and heavy building rumble. I strongly advise people to be wary of hiring them.
For a client to choose me, seriousness and experience are required. Most people say they are satisfied with my work, as I have been working in the field for approximately 14 years.

Job was to sand the floor of our flat and we set a price. After asking for more they guaranteed to finish for the extra price. A day later they pulled out of the job leaving it un finished. They said it was due to a black tar like substance. they said they had tried everything. My painter and decorator took a torch and scrapper and had it up in minutes. They had the wrong tools and seemed like first flooring job. After contacting asking to finish he said he would get back to me but failed to be reached.

Very fast response to my job posting and available to view the floor for a quote within 2 days. Job was carried out within one week to a great standard - very fast fitting (within 4 hours) and good finish to sealing and replacement of all bathroom furniture. All rubbish was taken away for me as well. Price was very reasonable - much cheaper than the other quote I received and they were very willing to come back to carry out other jobs as required.

Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.

Andrew and his team did a complete gut out, redesign and extension to our house, the work was completed a year ago but I forgot to write a review. 3 new bathrooms, new plumbing, electric, everything.
