I did not hire this company due to the fact I requested a payment but only received in its place a weekly payment which was not based on work completed. When ai informed them they wanted to return and chat about it. I was not prepared to do this as it did not give me any good vibes as all builders will give a quote which is then backed by a payment plan based on work completed

I paid Phil £195 to complete the job. The roof ended up leaking worse so I tried to get him back out to fix the problems but he ignored my initial calls then called me and told me "it's impossible that it's leaking worse" I had to get another roofer out to do a temporary fix which should be sufficient for several years, this cost me £65. I was told that £195 for the initial job was too high as "the materials would have only cost a few quid and it would have only taken a couple of hours" I wouldn't recommend

I sadly have to give the ratings I have. I was chasing for an appointment so Mark & his brother could give a price, which I eventually got. Then I had to chase for a start date. Mark said his daughter was in hospital, which happens. I said I would wait. I asked did he want the job. He said it would be a few weeks. I said I would wait, & wait a & wait etc. I got no response. It was clear they did not want the job. My time was wasted. Sadly I would not reccomend. A case of Cherry picking.

Tony was the only tradesman to reply,he sent a picture and a quote via text which was fine but told him I would get back to I'm when I had other quotes. I contacted him today to say I didn't want a upvc door I preferred wood and needed new frame so he said he would call this afternoon to have a look at the job as he was in the area but then he messaged back to say he had to go to another appointment and hoped I would get the job with another tradesman which were both checkatrade so will use them

Job didn't last long, started leaking again when it rained heavy. wasted money. Another company looked at the chimney and flat roof and politely described the job as done by cons, using this site to get quick cash from urgent jobs, which if not done professionally costs more in the long run. The banter is part of the deception.

This tradesman did half of the job. He said that he would come back with his ladder to complete the job and I mistakenly paid him. He never came back and has been impossible to get hold of. I would not recommend him for any job ever again.

Visited, gave a quote. Seemed a reasonable price and so Job accepted. Said he would call with start date the next day. To date, despite leaving messages there’s unfortunately been no response. I’d really respect a person more if they could admit the job is beyond their capability at the time and save time and energy. Just be honest about it. Honesty costs nothing.

Luke gave a decent quote for some roof, paving & fence work. What they did complete was good, but they did not finish the job. Communication was very frustrating and I had to constantly chase for updates. I stupidly paid the full balance after the garden was complete, but before the roof work was. It's now 9 weeks on & despite repeated assurances that they will come back (and me offering a further £200 to complete the roof work), I do not believe they intend to return. 3/5

I was a little sceptical using the Rated People website. But we used Robin to fit a laminate floor in our kitchen and the experience was excellent. Robin gave us a very competitive price and he did a very professional job. He was very polite and the floor was fitted to a very high standard.
