Came to fit a new shower tray and enclosure 19/12 and fit a lintel over a fire which was done well.However the shower we found 2 days after, due to waiting for sealant to dry, is unusable as the water does not drain away and floods the floor, also the tiles they put on around the shower fell off the wall as they were not stuck on properly before grout. I had paid them the day the job was done .I asked Paul to rectify it and he said he would on 31/12,then didn't attend & told me to get another plumber !

I work mostly on my own and have very little overheads as I am a very small company meaning my prices are relatively low compared to your "bigger" companies with more overheads. I have good relationships with suppliers meaning I can usually get you the same product, cheaper. Yes, I pass on the discount to the customer! Which is probably one of the bigger reasons why I am usually a cheaper option. Yes, being on my own (most of the time, depends on the size of the job) can mean jobs take slightly longer I have to admit however, I promise you will get the same standard of job, if not better for less cost to you. I am very confident at what I do. It is all I have ever done since leaving school and I do take great pride in the work I do, if I am not 100% confident that I can give you a great result, I simply won't do it and will recommend someone who can for example, cutting a stone worktop. Something I do not have the equipment to do. Doing a good job is important to me because if I don't, you'll give me a bad review and in turn, lose potential work. That is something a very small, local tradesman like myself simply can't afford. Petar, compared to the other tradesmen gave me the best advice for the job and the best quote. He arrived on time each day that he worked and only had short breaks. He took pride in his work and was very hard working. I reiterate that less than a third of the job was completed and half the money was paid. This was not a payment plan issue as you wanted a small amount to cover fuel on starting the job and the balance at completion - a third of the moneys were given at the start and further funds were given after a week, although the work was no where near completion. You then made several excuses as to why you did not turn up and finally let me down completely. i stand by my original comment whole heartily HIRE AT RISK

Asked for roofer...to clean gutters and sort leak out in roof..ended up with a young lad...who brought ladders that did not reach the roof..told me he would jet wash roof, come with his dad sort problem out...at the end mr Vespa plastering was not a roofer...didnt bring jet wash..told me he's not a roofer...didn't fully clean the guttering didn't put the clips on guttering and didnt see where the leak was coming from..our problem still unresolved ...then tells me he only deals in fascias and soffits

Quoted £35 ... Tried to fix lights. After 45 mins the problem was not sorted and the price went to £100 to fix. So did not use. The new price included new wiring.

Lowes Construction installed a bathroom for us initially the work appeared to be good but he took 4 times the length of time quoted, he asked for his money leaving some of the jobs unfinished and then would not respond to our calls, e mails or letters asking when the work would be finished. When notified that the shower leaked, sinks were incorrectly positioned, damaged panel not replaced. he did not return to repair any of the problems raised. I would not reccomend anyone to employ this company.

Originally the man was our hero, baby fast approaching and no floor,He priced up the job and came two days later! Fantastic! But then what a turn it took, Lawrence had to come back a second time to do our beading and fit a customized threshold, the beading came away next day and he never did fit the threshold after promising six times he would come, but never did. Real shame as started off so well. He has now blocked us from calling and owes us £50 which i paid in advance, more fool me.

Gave a good impression when he came to price up the work. After the work was completed there were issues with the overall standard of the finish and also a problem with a specific aspect of the work. Tried to contact him in order for this to be corrected but he did not answer my calls or respond to messages. Had to get someone else to put it right. I would not recommend this tradesman.
