NB MY RATING IS PURELY BASED ON THE EXCELLENT PROVISION OF A QUOTE - JULIAN GOT TO ME QUICKLY AS ARRANGED, IN SPITE OF THE MAIN ROAD BEING CLOSED AT THE TIME, UNDERTOOK A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF MY PROPERTY AND PROVIDED ME WITH A DETAILED QUOTE WITHIN 48 HOURS. (for various reasons I am currently still running the old boiler and not switching just yet, so no work has been undertaken at this stage).

The carpenter did come across obstacles which were new to him but this was due to the job not being straight forward and parts were tricky due to a brick hearth and a spiral staircase both to have wood flooring fitted around. I could not recommend this tradesman more highly. He did excellent, careful work, as well as always being considerate and keeping disruption to a minimum. The tradesman completed a large amount of work, including locating difficult to find materials and sourcing a specialist subcontractor, within one week. The replacement stair bannisters, spindles and newel posts were fitted to a good standard and at a fair and competitive price. John turned up promptly, took time and equipment to inspect indoors how damp was getting in from roof and explain possible causes, then quick to get ladder to the roof to investigate further. He explained everything, took photos up on the roof with his phone, and his advice and quote seemed reasonable and not pushy. Came back in a day, did all the work up on the roof which turned out to be a lot more than he thought (reconcrete parapet wall) but honoured price, came back again to replace tiles too. Top man.
