I used AGL to decorate my 5 bedroom house in W12 in April 2014. The standard of the work was excellent. They are experienced and were able to come up with practical solutions to issues that arose. They were able to carry out addition electrical and plumbing work. Their quote was competitive and transparent. They repsonded promptly to calls and emails. AGL were trustworthy and reliable and I have since made several recommendations to friends. I would definitely use them again.

We commission Alex of Construction United in November 2011 to take on a small domestic project for a bathroom refurbishment. It was the first time we have used a tradesman through rated people and I can safely say that we were not disappointed. Alex came across to us as someone with a naturally friendly honest and professional approach. He offered us a competitive rate to do the job and following his appointment, both he and his father started on time, and worked hard to the best of their abilities to deliver the project on time with little cause for concern. I must say they were very patient and coped well with all the late design changes we through at them. At the end of the project payments were simple and organised; Alex presented my mother with a lovely bunch of flowers as a thank you for all the cups of tea and coffee, which we thought was a kind and considerate gesture. He has defiantly been a good find and someone we will recommend and use again on future projects. To sum up using an axiom by C.R Ashbee: ‘Standard of excellence in the industrial arts acts in competitive industry as Gresham’s law acts in coinage. We have not gone ahead with his quote but Piotr was excellent at contacting me and keeping in touch with regard to the appointments made for him to come and view the work. He was very friendly and professional and listened to what we wanted/needed and came back with a quote within a couple of days. I would have liked the quote to be a bit more detailed and ‘professional’ looking – but this was not the reason we decided not to work with him. I wish him luck with other jobs.

They were very dodgy and unreliable. They took all the agreed money but never came back to finish the job. I was left without a kitchen, cooking utilises and drinking water for two whole months as no other builders were willing to pick up the mess they left behind. The garden was a complete mess with concrete and heavy building rumble. I strongly advise people to be wary of hiring them.

Over several months, he repeatedly promised to remove a large amount of timber left behind in my garden after the job, but simply failed to turn up. Did not get this company to do my job..could not in honesty let someone come to my house to do a job who didn't want to look at, or measure anything but knew it would cost £800 To do it...absolutely ridiculous, but not the only company on this site who try it on.

Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.

Naim did a superb job designing and building us a fitted wardrobe. We're really pleased with the quality of the finish. We picked the colour and handles ourselves and he advised us about what would work. It's really transformed our bedroom. Naim also did some work to refit some kitchen cabinets to make room for an integrated dishwasher. Again he did an excellent job as it was quite a puzzle to work out how to make it work. The floor was done to a very good quality and it was on this basis we decided to offer the other jobs we wanted doing in the house - painting the hallway & landing, 2 bedrooms and the kitchen all very satisfactory. Very fast response to my job posting and available to view the floor for a quote within 2 days. Job was carried out within one week to a great standard - very fast fitting (within 4 hours) and good finish to sealing and replacement of all bathroom furniture. All rubbish was taken away for me as well. Price was very reasonable - much cheaper than the other quote I received and they were very willing to come back to carry out other jobs as required.
