He was very good at the job and finished on time etc. The one thing I found slightly annoying was the urgency to finish the job and get the money, ie insisting that he paints the fence even though it was forecast to almost certainly rain that day and receiving multiple calls from his wife etc to our pressure. Overall though I am pleased with the end result and will use him again if given a chance

DF decorating e Building were hired to refurbish our kitchen (selection based on builder’s portfolio presented to us and after checking references). We are very disappointed and unhappy with the quality of work done by them. They were unable to rectify mistakes; some of them caused permanent damage to the kitchen units and appliances. We will have professional qualified builders to re-do most of the job.

Would not recommend, was inconsiderate, turned up at my home late at night twice unexpectedly. Did not paint neatly - didn’t use frog tape I provided - painted into my ceiling and skirting boards. Ruined my original fireplace by splashing paint on it. Left my home dirty with all the rubbish left behind. Did not have basic tools that a professional tradesperson would usually have - used my new hoover and left paint all over it and used it to hoover up wallpaper which made it jam.

We were quoted an extremely competitive price (Charlies quote was almost half of that quoted by a well-known competitor) and once we had accepted his quote, we were amazed at how quickly work began. Sadly as much as the extension looks fine on the outside, there have been too many issues behind the scenes that we have had to get remedied, which has been a huge additional ongoing cost to us. The team are not experts and will not do a thorough job. We have recently had to deal with a big health and safety electrical issue due to their inability to do things properly. We now wish we that we had engaged someone else.

My kitchen tap had broken. I provided replacement parts and plumber was to replace. I was left with a leaking sink (into the cupboard below) and the hot/cold intakes switched in the opposite direction. I had to carry out work myself after the plumber had left and ended up calling another plumber to fix the sink properly.

The job had to be redone as the tiles were not lined up at all. Then the second lot of decorative border tiles were going in different directions. The workers were never there for full days, and then wanted to charge for over-running days.

did not return my house keys. They didn't finish job properly just kept asking for more money. They called it revising the quote, but they told me it was a fixed price at the start. It starts off low then it gets really expensive and you realise it's a false economy. The bathroom fitting was not good and the hot tAp doesn't turn on. They even tried to chArge me extra for a rat killer bait which was nothing to do with me.Finally I have to pay someone else to sort out their mess and report the keys to police"

AVOID Adil is a smooth talker who hasn't got a clue about work in the industry. Employed to refurbish a full house. A SUMMARY of issues follows. 1 - Plastering done is uneven. 2 - Did not allow plaster to dry before painting walls so already peeling off. 3 - Found number of areas where holes had been left, and had these not been pointed out would have been left. 4 - Wood not sanded before painting, incl. new skirting boards. 5 - Threats when I refused to pay!

I was quoted £230 for a job that the plumber hadn't even seen. 'confidently' I had chosen £250 on the budget option on the site do clearly the plumber was going for the maximum charge! I felt very angry by that and was proved correct when I had the work done by a reputable plumber for £60 all inclusive! Very poor of PB to try and pull a fast one!
