Caution urged. My initial review written while wearing rose tinted specs! Reality is very different. I used this trader for other tasks and now have incomplete work on several jobs. My fault, I paid in full having believed everything I was told about status of completion. No response to messages.

Apart from causing £350. worth of damage to my roof and electrics so far and ignoring my emails questioning why they didn't tell me. The job was done quickly and virtually to the agreed specification. Would I recommend them? Probably not just for not coming clean about the damage and not communicating. I had a quote from them for a fence which I was going to take up, also a couple of other jobs to quote for but I am now looking elsewhere. I have no confidence they will tell me if something goes wrong.

Do not use this trader. I have used Wayne in the past and he completed the job as quoted. Re-booked again this Easter to supply and fit carpet. He took the cash (over £1000) and we have been unable to contact him since. Currently going through small claims to try and get our money back.

Hired Ian to Build a single story extension and install new kitchen and downstairs shower room . Crew were very pleasant and very helpful in planning the the job ahead of them. Very pleased with the work carried out looks amazing Having to put up with an awkward neighbor didn't deter them from doing and completing the job. The price put in was very reasonable. When the work was ongoing the area was always left clean and as tidy as possible . I would recommend Ian 100% , and would use him again.

AVOID. This woman obviously knows about plants & likes to 'potter' in the garden but she is not a commercial gardener, borrowing our garden tools for example and unwilling to follow my instructions (he who pays the piper calls the tune Becky!) left job unfinished as not happy with quote she had given because taking too long. Paying her by the hour would have been even more of a disaster!

We can't rate the value as we have little experience of stone masons- it seemed reasonable. He was very helpful and we were grateful that he fitted our job in when we needed it doing fairly urgently. There was some misunderstanding about the colour of the mortar used, but we can live with it. Would recommend him.

George responded quickly to my request, gave a very reasonable quote, did a really quite tricky and complicated job above a conservatory, to fix cracks in the pebbledash of an external wall, and seal all around the windows. A fortnight later he re-plastered internally. George gives the impression of being somewhat chaotic! But he is extremely experienced, knows what he is doing, and actually did a very good job. We used Western Flooring to sand our master bedroom. The price they offered was good and given the spec we gave them they did a good job. However there was a bit of miscommunication and there ended up being some disagreement with how the finish was looking. They did knock a bit off the price because of this, but were reluctant to actually do anything about it. I probably would use them again but would warn myself to be very precise about the work to be done.

Zero, if possible. Not sure if it’s truthful. I took 3 days off work - didn’t turn up on any day. Claimed death in family on third day so maybe unfair. Still; car broken on one day, need to go to doctors on third, then death on fourth. I’m 3 days out of pocket now! Told me all jobs on hold, who knows maybe my review will help someone.

When we requested the roof to be upgraded there were no leaks anywhere. When it rained we had water coming in the bedroom this we thought was because of work they had done on roof. They are supposed experts on flat roofing, and it took them three visits to find the problem. We thought we we getting quality workmen going through Rated People, but again hit problems.

Kevin sounded very good on the phone so i booked him to come over a few days later. he never showed up. i phoned him and he didn't answer, then at 5;30 (he was meant to be here at 5) called to say he wont be able to make it. we rearranged for a few days later. he never showed up or called. Obviously i can't say anything about the quality of his work, as i never had the opportunity to use his service, but if you definitely need a job done and a tradesman that will show up- i suggest you look elsewhere. .
