Job was to sand the floor of our flat and we set a price. After asking for more they guaranteed to finish for the extra price. A day later they pulled out of the job leaving it un finished. They said it was due to a black tar like substance. they said they had tried everything. My painter and decorator took a torch and scrapper and had it up in minutes. They had the wrong tools and seemed like first flooring job. After contacting asking to finish he said he would get back to me but failed to be reached.

Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.
There is no job too small . Just ask . Confidence and punctuality is my motto . If I promise you one thing I will keep my promise .

We have had bad experiences with builders in the past so we were naturally cautious when we were looking for builders to do renovations to our property. We inspected at least 6 properties that Zal Builders worked on and we were impresses with the standard of work we saw. These two builders are very competent at their skill; they are neat and clean and very professional. Perfect - is all I can say. Gave me a quote as part of an insurance claim. They are really diligent; hard working and actually did more than I expected them to do. They quoted 5 to 7 days to do the work but it suited us all for them to spend a couple of hours longer than normal to get the work done in 5 days rather than come back after the weekend. I'm thrilled. I'm hoping they'll come back again if/when I have more work for them. They'd be most welcome and I'd be assured of a great job.

We have brought in a professional builder and he has diagnosed that the wrong materials for a wetroom was used and substandard at that. We now have to remove the new tiles and start again. This means we need to purchase more tiles and more materials and re do the work done.
