We had our front garden fence removed and replaced with a brick wall. The finished result looks amazing. I’m so happy with it. The staff were courteous and professional and worked super hard and efficiently. The whole job took a week which was faster than expected. They left everything clean and tidy. They turned up without any materials and we had difficulty getting any. The fence has been put up in a bad way with short posts, and screws dangerously protruding through to next door. My old patio was not taken up as quoted, and new slabs were laid over the top. It is not level and slopes forward & sideways with a bump in the middle. Slabs are uneven, the built step has all broken away, as there is little support under it. And the grouting has gaps and different grouts used. Too many other probs to list.
I am a qualified carpenter and have recently started my own business. My skills involve most aspects of Carpentry, internal and external painting and also garden maintenance.

Jon said he would be on site 0800 Tuesday and that the job would take two days. I wait in for him, he then advises at 08:47 on that he wont be there but promises to be there 0800 Wednesday. Arrives 09:45 Wednesday. I arranged access for him and was at work on Thursday and didn’t realise until he messaged me at 15:24 that he hasn’t turned into work again, can he come back on Saturday. Messages at 05:28 on Saturday saying he can’t come in but can do tomorrow (Sunday). Messed us around. Won’t use again.

According to these trades people their installation is guaranteed for two years. Since the installation of our decking things have gone wrong and I have tried on several occasions to get them back to put things right. I arranged for a rep that we purchased the composite decking from to come to the house ( he travelled from the north of England ) to explain to them where they had gone wrong. They could not even be bothered to turn up for the appointment. Texts/phone calls just being ignored. Stay clear !!

This tradesman's? standard of work is appalling & I can only assume his Rated People reviews are false. We had no option but to dismiss him after he ruined our lounge. The numerous faults eg. large gaps above bay window, uneven walls, plastering abysmal. His cleaning up was non-existent & left my home in a disgraceful mess, cement and plaster covering our wooden floor & doors. We had to hack off all his work and start again! This has cost us dearly, not to mention the stress. RATED PEOPLE? I DONT THINK SO!

Came to quote. Agreed to take on the job. Contacted me that morning to cancel as he "had to sort out a problem with existing job". After a few weeks I called to arrange a new date at 5pm and he agreed to come the following morning. Texted my address again as requested (admittedly on the morning he was due but before he had arranged to turn up. Received text telling me he thought I had changed my mind and was doing another job. This is less than 12 hours after we agreed. Getting someone else.

Spoke to him he for quote/do the job on certain days. Received a phonecall asking if he could come and do the job on the days I wasn't available. Informed me he would get in touch with me on a certain day to rearrange. Never did so. And to top it off, he then contacted Rated People to say he hadn't been given a chance to quote when he had! I can't rate him for the quality of his work but I do know one thing-there is no way I'm going to let a tradesman into my house when they lie and are dishonest. Avoid.
