FANTASTIC - called viewed job Thursday and quoted and could start work today. Met up bought the goods which was helpful so I knew I had the right materials. Came today 30 mins earlier - not a problem - and he worked like a trojan, carefully, respectfully, tidied up after himself and even did a few more small jobs on top of what he quoted for. Cleared up, reasonably priced. Lovely friendly fellow and he's coming back for other jobs I have lined up. You can't go wrong with Michali. Great carpenter.

Perfect - is all I can say. Gave me a quote as part of an insurance claim. They are really diligent; hard working and actually did more than I expected them to do. They quoted 5 to 7 days to do the work but it suited us all for them to spend a couple of hours longer than normal to get the work done in 5 days rather than come back after the weekend. I'm thrilled. I'm hoping they'll come back again if/when I have more work for them. They'd be most welcome and I'd be assured of a great job.

On the positive side Jay recognised this and was very apologetic and was certainly not trying to rip us off. Couldn't be happier with Patricio's work. He did an incredible job fitting my new bathroom and I'll be using him for all the work in my flat going forward. He knew his stuff while quoting and filled me with confidence and gave a very reasonable price. Before starting any work he covered my floor with plastic to protect it and was very careful not to scratch any walls. We are a small two man team including me (Gary) a carpenter by trade with 35 years experience and Jay my right hand man who is by trade a plumber with 25 years in the trade. We have a team of other trades we can call upon whenever necessary including electricians, plasterers, painters, tilers etc and can do any job that may come along. Although always being self-employed, I have been working for the same guy for the last seven years. I was originally asked to fit three kitchens on some posh flats in St Albans. This expanded to all the kitchens in the development and then on to all the 2nd fix carpentry, doors, skirting, architraves etc. In short I ended up staying seven years which only ended recently. I met Jay four years ago when he came to work on one of the jobs I was on. We liked each other immediately. We worked together for three years for the same guy (mentioned earlier) and then, a year ago decided to branch out on our own. We’d both decided that work had got a bit staid and repetitive and thought that we needed a new challenge to get the blood pumping again. I live in Leighton Buzzard and Jay in Milton Keynes so we tend to concentrate our efforts in finding work to a 25 mile radius of both these places although for the right job we can be flexible. We pride ourselves in our high standard of workmanship and professionalism and like to think that we offer real value for money.

Gary did a very good job of building a wooden structure for my pergola. His craftsmanship was very good and he was sensitive to the work that had already been done in the garden. It was, however a few inches shorter than requested. The brief was to build a 'sheltered area' but he did not return as promised to refit the canopy. He had to attend a funeral, so since this was the possible reason I would still recommend him.

Although I didn't have the job done in the end (as the council had sorted the pipes whilst I applied for help) I just wanted to say that I did get a very quick reply, from Tom and he had been willing to come the very next day and give me a quote. Even though I explained it was a small job and as I'm disabled he'd have to do all the measuring up. He was still willing to come and at a time to suit me, so he deserves a few stars for helpfulness. Also for putting up with me canceling the job on the day after having second thoughts. I was not aware he'd had to pay rated people for my details. Which I think should be that they only pay if they get work! So thank you for your efforts. I obviously can't really comment on the quality of their work or their value but I give full marks for reliability for the quick call and offer to come the next morning to see the job. I will certainly be keeping their number for any work I need in the future.

Sadly as much as the extension looks fine on the outside, there have been too many issues behind the scenes that we have had to get remedied, which has been a huge additional ongoing cost to us. The team are not experts and will not do a thorough job. We have recently had to deal with a big health and safety electrical issue due to their inability to do things properly. We now wish we that we had engaged someone else.

Poor contact, I was doing all the chasing. Flooring cut short in places, new shower fitted leaking. Jack advised date to fit bath panel and towel rail then cancelled. Has worked out very expensive because I have paid for a heated towel rail and bath panel that has not been supplied or fitted. When job was agreed in June, Jack said he was fully booked for 2 weeks, now August and no sign of completion and no contact from him. Would I recommend Bathly Plumbers? NEVER

He viewed the job, agreed the price, took a whole day to board a small ceiling and start one of the 5 door linings. i trusted and paid the lion share of the job, wrong decision i guess, as this is what followed, he assured me he would come back the following Saturday, but then the excuses started to flow, my boss has asked me to work, its my anniversary etc... No show on the next Sat either, has blocked my number also? AVOID at all costs

I have now had to gut out the bathroom due to major damp issues and flooding as Lloyd used normal plasterboards (not waterproof) in the bathroom which were disintegrating in addition to the tiles falling off. The leaks came from his pipework from the toilet/basin/shower and most importantly, he fitted an isolation switch for the electric shower INSIDE the bathroom which is against regulations and did not create a separate shower circuit to the RCD box with its own MCB. Fortunate to have no fatalities!

Kevin sounded very good on the phone so i booked him to come over a few days later. he never showed up. i phoned him and he didn't answer, then at 5;30 (he was meant to be here at 5) called to say he wont be able to make it. we rearranged for a few days later. he never showed up or called. Obviously i can't say anything about the quality of his work, as i never had the opportunity to use his service, but if you definitely need a job done and a tradesman that will show up- i suggest you look elsewhere. .
