Took Nigel a while to call back to confirm a date and time a date and time for the work. Once he did though, he kept exactly to his word. Turned up, on time and completed the plastering for our stairway to a very high quality with patching and skimming work. The price was very fair and he finished in the time he said he would. While the work has been excellent Sterling Construction have left a job half finished for over seven months. Their reliability leaves a lot to be desired which is a shame considering the first job they completed was carried out so well.

With regard to budget the category "up to £100" is the lowest limit one can specify on this site, with regard to VAT there was never any suggestion that this should not be paid. My husband accepted and paid your bill at the time it is only subsequently that we have found out from others that this was an excessive amount to be charged for this work. Our mistake was not getting a number of quotes before instructing you to do the work. We will not make this mistake again.

They were very dodgy and unreliable. They took all the agreed money but never came back to finish the job. I was left without a kitchen, cooking utilises and drinking water for two whole months as no other builders were willing to pick up the mess they left behind. The garden was a complete mess with concrete and heavy building rumble. I strongly advise people to be wary of hiring them.

George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. This work was quite complicated due to the age and “character” of the cottage (no straight lines!), plus working in a busy family home. They did an absolutely fantastic job. The previous review was done under duress with Billy standing over me. The truth is, he disappears for considerable lengths of time (days), leaves equipment behind so you can't hire anyone else, switches his phone off so you can't contact him during this time and has the attitude of a bully. He removed our toilet to fix a blocked pipe but then left it so it wasn't fixed back to the floor properly and moved around, when we were in the process of selling our flat, with surveyors coming round. Not recommended.

At no time were you told not to tile that area, that is absurd, why would we want an area not tiled. On the quote it was stated that you would remove old tiles and make good walls, having spoken to 4 companies since they all stated the same, this would mean plastering the same, we paid extra for this. Something to be considered when writing your quotes. The receipts for materials, second amount, never materialised. You were paid in full regardless.

We are a local church in London providing food bank and coffee mornings twice a week for the homeless. We requested for a complete repair of Fibre-glass roof which had licks Eclipse Roofing took £4000.00 pound for a complete repair and gave us 20 year warranty. The roof still lick and we have water everywhere. Fibre Matt was not installed the old Fibre not removed.presently we have had to suspend the coffee mornings because of licks to roof. We have consulted our lawyers and Citizen advise bureau.

Total rubbish. Took too long to complete simple jobs. Has left us with loose taps and a kitchen ceiling that needs repair. This was caused by not tightening the nuts and washers from the bathroom sink creating and overnight leak that seeped through the kitchen ceiling. Truly awful and not to be recommended

Good: Arrived on time and waited for me because I was late, cleared the drain ... at last we can have baths again! Very personable chap, not afraid to get his hands dirty! Knows his drains! Other: Cost a little more than I had offered (£80 I had offered £50) but he was here longer than expected. Also there was some sewage/dirty water left over on the patio that we had to clear up after he had left which wasn't pleasant.
