He does not answer phone or text messages. His colleague did laminate flooring and after they had gone my builder pointed out a lot of bad workmanship.

ZELJKO BURGER (known as Charlie) did an amazing job of replacing a roof on our orangery from start to finish. We were quoted an extremely competitive price (Charlies quote was almost half of that quoted by a well-known competitor) and once we had accepted his quote, we were amazed at how quickly work began. It was carried out with a minimum of fuss and disruption. Charlie has transformed what was once a cold, unusable room into a functioning extension to out home. I definitely recommend him.

Sadly as much as the extension looks fine on the outside, there have been too many issues behind the scenes that we have had to get remedied, which has been a huge additional ongoing cost to us. The team are not experts and will not do a thorough job. We have recently had to deal with a big health and safety electrical issue due to their inability to do things properly. AVOID AT ALL COSTS My first mistake was to ignore an earlier scathing review. I only required tiling, all tanking was completed in advance, so decided to overlook the questionable plumbing/electrical feedback in a previous review. My experiences and the behaviour described appear to be entirely consistent though. Alex completed the tiling of the wet room to a poor level – he was unable to deliver a level tiled surface in a number of areas despite a fully Marmoxed room to work with. The toilet could not be fitted to the frame as the tiling was so inaccurate there was an enormous amount of rocking. The most serious problem was his inability to lay a level floor, critical in a wet room, and we have a number of areas of pooling. Having been given a perfectly level tile friendly Hardibacker surface to start with this is inexcusable. He agreed to return and rectify these faults, came back, smashed out several tiles on the walls and the floor then disappeared never to be seen again. At the time he claimed he needed to go and pick up some tile adhesive which seemed reasonable. A few minutes after he left I noticed he had taken his tile cutter which of course he would have needed on his return. This set alarm bells ringing. I looked at the wet room more carefully and knew that was going to be the last I would see of him. When removing the tiles from the floor he had damaged the under-floor heating cables. He made a clumsy effort to disguise the fact with some tape before his exit. After a couple of hours I received a text message claiming that he had been involved in an accident and that he would be in touch. After several days of ignored calls and messages I sent an email and received a reply claiming that his phone had been stolen and this was the reason his unresponsiveness. He promised to come the following Friday to finish the job. Needless to say he failed to show up, ignored calls, text messages and emails throughout the day. I knew he was in possession of his phone and proved the fact by getting my partner to call from a number he would not recognise. She was promised a call back by his partner – of course it never came.

I have now had to gut out the bathroom due to major damp issues and flooding as Lloyd used normal plasterboards (not waterproof) in the bathroom which were disintegrating in addition to the tiles falling off. The leaks came from his pipework from the toilet/basin/shower and most importantly, he fitted an isolation switch for the electric shower INSIDE the bathroom which is against regulations and did not create a separate shower circuit to the RCD box with its own MCB. Fortunate to have no fatalities!

A few weeks after the repair the first problem occurred, I called them but they wanted to charge me a call out fee of £49.00 to have a look at it after I paid £150.00 to have it repaired. I refused thus called a different locksmith who noted that the cylinder was too short for the new lock and page security should have known this and changed it while fitting the new lock. Now I have a temperamental lock that works 1/20 called them again and was told I have to pay £49.00 to have someone look at it.

I had initially been given a reasonable quote for the work required. After the work had started, they offered to build a new wetroom and install a new megaflow tank. Halfway through the job, he said the cost had increased and wanted to charge me 50% more. I was furious as I had my budget set already. I disagreed and had several arguments, where Anthony Baafi was being extremely unreasonable. In the end I had to pay a bit more, as I just wanted to get the work finished. I do not recommend them to anyone!

He did 2 small jobs - one was fine, but the other, he did not know how to do and should have said so. This was re-polishing a kitchen worktop. He did not read the application instruction despite being shown them. His painting skills ;eave a lot to be desired and he rushed it as he was being cashed up by others. He left the job incomplete and has not been in contact to finish it completely. He is basically an ok handyman and has a lot of jobs he's juggling all the time. I wouldn't recommend him for any work.

AVOID Adil is a smooth talker who hasn't got a clue about work in the industry. Employed to refurbish a full house. A SUMMARY of issues follows. 1 - Plastering done is uneven. 2 - Did not allow plaster to dry before painting walls so already peeling off. 3 - Found number of areas where holes had been left, and had these not been pointed out would have been left. 4 - Wood not sanded before painting, incl. new skirting boards. 5 - Threats when I refused to pay!
