18 months after the works were completed, it is apparent that he has not used a suitable downpipe connection joint as it is leaking. Showing the work to a surveyor he said " Looks like they have tried to get away with using a cheap connection. They should have fitted a connection that goes into the pipe opposed to joining a UPVC into the side of it. Ideally it should be one section so there are no joints." I have emailed the builder but he has not attended site to correct this. I would not recommend him.

I really wouldn’t recommend these guys. The work they did was shoddy with lots of cut corners. Couldn’t even cut the flooring pieces in a straight line. So disappointed with the finish they did.

Turned up, took some measurements, told us to select gravel type and visit local builder's yard which we did. Upon contacting again, said he'd re-visit at 7:30, failed to turn up, ignored phone calls, never heard from him since, completely unprofessional.

I would never use theses fly guy again all week they were in my house to do small jobs they wasted time and always made excuses everyday and did not turn up in morning always late afternoon thats if they bothered to turn up at all and to top it all of they tried to rip me of and charge me £850 for materials for my loft which only cost £298 they also wanted £700 for doing the job which was only flooring a loft the lies they told was disgusting Am going to take this further they should not be trading

Unfortunately Colin cannot be recommended for reliability at all. Despite fitting 2 French doors to our lounge, these did not operate satisfactorily, with the snib being poorly fitted and the doors not aligned correctly, despite his attempts to sort. The promised installation of a dining room door never materialised due to many "issues" on the part of Colin. A refund of the price paid for the door was requested, and I now have to employ another joiner to rectify the work done and paid for. Not recommended

I have given an average rating for quality because to be fair I do not know the standard of his work. I had to chase a few times to get the initial quote in which when received was significantly over budget. There were a number of different minor tasks within the overall job and so asked for a breakdown of the quote by individual task so that I could assess and prioritise which I should and could afford to have carried out. I never received the breakdown of costs and the job therefore never started.

Tradesman came out to give a quote. Was advised I would be contacted by a painter about the staircase, I never heard from him. Contacted tradesman again, arranged a time in advance to complete job quoted for. Tradesman didn't come back to confirm, job not done.

Paid tradesman in full, ceiling still to be repaired after poor first attempt, made a mess of second attempt after throwing hissy fit, now not answering emails after agreeing on umpteen occasions to come back and finish to a decent standard. Happy with kitchen, not happy with finish. This has been on going since end of December 2011, in hindsight would have held back part payment but you put your trust in people from this site as they are thoroughly checked.......aren't they ? I cannot rate this tradesman low enough – I’ve had to hire qualified tradesmen to complete the job Mr Montgomery started because he refused to see me and called me a c*nt. The tradesman he recommended was so poor that the electrician I had to hire to fix his mess after nothing in my flat would work informed me the work he did was illegal and questioned whether he was actually trained. I now cannot get reimbursement that he agreed upon back. This job cost me an un-budgeted £1000 in extra tradesmen.
