After a couple of weeks of laying our Kardean flooring our downstairs neighbours informed us that they had water pouring through their ceiling. Upon inspection, and after ripping up a vast majority of our new flooring, it was found that the 25mm nails that Greg had used to fix the plywood down to the 18mm floorboards had PUNCTURED A WATER PIPE in 2 places. Once Greg was informed of this he has taken NO RESPONSIBILITY for this whatsoever and has NO INSURANCE to pay us. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

The poor review I posted wasn't about the later repairs. It was about the inital calls and emails I made which took a week to confirm the original work date ( poor reliability) and the difference in value between actual materials used and labour (quality and value) .

They insulated the 2nd bedroom to prevent consesation and therefore damp. They were available straight away and got on with the job. They completed the job as planned and the room looks like new. They applied a fresh coat of paint even to the walls that were not affected and cleaned up after themselves. Good job.

Would not recommend, was inconsiderate, turned up at my home late at night twice unexpectedly. Did not paint neatly - didn’t use frog tape I provided - painted into my ceiling and skirting boards. Ruined my original fireplace by splashing paint on it. Left my home dirty with all the rubbish left behind. Did not have basic tools that a professional tradesperson would usually have - used my new hoover and left paint all over it and used it to hoover up wallpaper which made it jam.

I am very disappointed with the service received from SKK construction. Whilst Sean did come and give us a reasonable quote, he failed to deliver! He cancelled our first appointment 15 minutes before the set time, but rearranged another date for the following week. The second time he did not arrive and failed to respond to texts. This is an appalling service- if a trades person does not want a job, they should just say they are not interested. His failure to turn up has ruined plans for 2 weekends .

Had work done from this trade person. tiles had movement after 6 months start to crack had a professional to come rectify work. Tiles was installed not correctly. Adhesive blobbled on to tiles not even spread evenly!

Poor contact, I was doing all the chasing. Flooring cut short in places, new shower fitted leaking. Jack advised date to fit bath panel and towel rail then cancelled. Has worked out very expensive because I have paid for a heated towel rail and bath panel that has not been supplied or fitted. When job was agreed in June, Jack said he was fully booked for 2 weeks, now August and no sign of completion and no contact from him. Would I recommend Bathly Plumbers? NEVER

Latexing and floor leveling Lvt, karndean and amtico. I go the extra miles for my customers. I always hoover all new carpets and clear all rubbish. I do whatever it takes to keep my customers happy.

Jack didn’t turn up on the day he was supposed to. He has ruined my kitchen floor, ripped it and tried to hide it by closing the kitchen cupboard and leaving quickly, cut it too short in some places, used a clear silicone over the top which makes it look worse. kitchen floor lifted in 2 places and bedroom has lifted in 1 place. I have tried to resolve this with him, but will be taking him to small claims court as I have to pay someone else to fix this. I would really, really recommend using another trader!

We had a small electrical job - repair of an illuminated mirror. James Hutchins was enthusiastic enough at first. He diagnosed the problem, claimed to have sourced spare parts and then requested £67 to pay for them. I gave him £80. That was six weeks ago and I haven't seen him since!!

I was very excited after reading reviews about Andrew and seeing the photos on his profile about the work he has done. However, he quoted me £5500 for a job that was £3000 maximum for labour. His quote was way, way too high. Frankly, this guy's only after money and not service. Wasted my Sunday as had to arrange time to meet him. Especially with a 3 year old child, making time to meet tradesmen are not the easiest the best of times. He was not interested in my job. Waste of time. Would highly not recommend

Essential elements included in quote request ignored and charged as extra.Paintwork on window not completed, and now inaccessible so can't be remedied.Crack in marble window sill not fixed.Boss actually told me the marble experts did not want to let him install the piece of marble as it was (two pieces stuck together) but he thought it would do.Work started six weeks ago, still not finished and now no reply to calls or texts. Overall extremely disappointing, and I would definitely not recommend.

I asked this person to rebuild a damaged bin container just like the one next to it. He gave me an acceptable quote and I was paying for materials. The adjoining bin was made from 3/4 ply and he used 1/4 inch MDF that began to dissolve with the first rain. He accused me of sabotaging his work and even suggested somebody had jumped on it! In our subsequent text exchange he even used the F word. I’m now having to have the whole job redone. His skills appear to be limited and he has a short temper.

I repeat -Martin Kingsley’s manner was stressful - I am not surprised he is capable of presenting a scenario bearing no resemblance to reality. His stance appeared suspect to me by his continual insistence to sight the structural engineer’s report and when he stated a wall showing damp patches and peeling paint was dry. When he left, he handed me a card asking me to get in touch.

They were not unqualified. They met every regulation in the book. You first said the wires needed to be in conduit, but when I had this checked, you then accepted that this was not the case. You said the 'regulation had changed' but conduit was never a legal requirement, just something done for practicality. The electricity was working fine for 3 days before you came and started working. This is nothing personal just bad trademanship, which I have a moral duty to highlight to others.
I always wanted to have my own company but i was to comfortable working as self employed,after i did some research about the benefits of a limited company i decide to open my own one so here i am today running New Look Constructionn. I have 10 years experience in building construction,so basically i know to do everything from simple things like changing a light bulb to build a new extension and gardening work,paving,fences and maintenance of the garden,i do driveways and loft conversions to.
