I went for Huttons as he was the better rated and experienced of the other quotes. We are very pleased with the bookcase. We did have a number of hiccups and this is where I rate them best. Without complaint, issues were sorted out / corrected - I was not left in any way feeling awkward or anything. Often I think it is how a tradesman responds to the hiccups that sets them apart from the others, as not every job is smooth. That is why I would highly recommend them, because if you do have an issue, I can assure you it will be sorted out.

Although I posted the request on a Sunday night - I was amazed when Ash responded an hour later, following up promptly with a call the next morning. Ash completed the work that same week. Paul did a fantastic job of painting our front room. The room needed a considerable amount of "making good" before painting (sanding down the wood, filling the wood and plaster) and he spent his time making sure this was done well. The painting was then top quality, and it included delicately painting our ornate cornice. We have since asked Paul to do further decorating for us, including putting up a picture rail, skirting board, fixing wooden floor boards and more painting. He is excellent at his job, careful, professional and reliable. I have already recommended him to friends and would recommend him to anyone looking on this site. He ticks all the boxes of quality, value and reliability.
