They worked very cleanly, even going beyond the point of duty, moving articles out of the way. The work was completed within a week as promised and was of exceptional quality. We have had bad experiences with builders in the past so we were naturally cautious when we were looking for builders to do renovations to our property. We inspected at least 6 properties that Zal Builders worked on and we were impresses with the standard of work we saw. These two builders are very competent at their skill; they are neat and clean and very professional. The structure of the work they completed is very sturdy and the standard of the decorations is of a very high specification. They offered us valuable advice about materials and designs. Seem very professional with the work completed in a timely manner but radiators went back to faulty original state after 2 months. Professionalism is just a front. Should have at the very least 3 months guarantee. When asked why the radiators were faulty after 2 months via email, they advised they would call the following morning to discuss and didn't. Attempted contact through email several times and no response. Completely ignored. Avoid unless you want to throw your money away.

We have brought in a professional builder and he has diagnosed that the wrong materials for a wetroom was used and substandard at that. We now have to remove the new tiles and start again. This means we need to purchase more tiles and more materials and re do the work done.

This company was highly responsive to my request; an emergency situation that had left a vulnerable elderly mum without water or heating. From posting my request on Rated People on a Sunday, within half an hour the company responded, visited the property later that day and provided a quote. Within 48 hours the job had been completed to a high standard and an additional job on request relating to fixing a toilet. A little pricey but given the response time to be expected as an emergency call out. Thank you

Nice bloke, but after the first day of hanging wallpaper my wife had concerns. The cutting of edges were all over the place. Not a straight edge anywhere. I tried to make excuses for Alan as our walls are not perfect. However, on the 2nd day to do a small feature wall, I have to say that even I am really disappointed. Again, no straight cuts and also gaps in the joins. I honestly wish I had taken the time to do it myself.

I was very pleased with punctuality and value for money. However, one of the jobs quoted and paid for i.e. fixing the toilet has not been done properly and is as bad as before he looked at it and my calls have been ignored for 3 weeks to rectify this. also a crack in a wall keeps reappearing and there was red paint on a cream carpet which was not brought to my attention and a professional carpet cleaner could not remove.

Work was finished to a good standard, only issue now is we have no part P certificate for electrical work or confirmation a steel is coated in a heat resistant paint, plumb smart are refusing to answer calls, court action pending. If Plumb smart are doing your electrics check certificates, wish we had, was a shame to end on this note, no complaints re the rest of it.

They were not unqualified. They met every regulation in the book. You first said the wires needed to be in conduit, but when I had this checked, you then accepted that this was not the case. You said the 'regulation had changed' but conduit was never a legal requirement, just something done for practicality. The electricity was working fine for 3 days before you came and started working. This is nothing personal just bad trademanship, which I have a moral duty to highlight to others.
