It may be the tap or that you live in a hard water area you can buy a test kit to test this In which case should you have hard water you may choose to go with a water softener
Kitchen water tastes mouldy?

I have recently bought a house and the water tastes almost mouldy! There is no discolouration or bits floating in it and my boyfriend can’t taste it but I can and I can’t drink it anymore! I tried to buy a filter that goes on the end of the tap but it wouldn’t fit. Could it be the pipes or maybe the tap itself? Any help would be amazing! I really don’t want to spend out on getting all new pipes for the house if I don’t need to!
